Structure and MembershipBoard of ManagementA Board of Management is responsible for managing the business and affairs of the Association,
including the coordination of internal industry matters and representing the interests of dried
fruits industry stakeholders. Federal CouncilMembers of the Board of Management are elected at Federal Council for rotating two year terms.
The Council is effectively the Annual General Meeting of the ADFA and the dried fruits industry.
It comprises representatives from each dried fruit producing area, as well as dried fruit processors
and marketers. Individual MembershipMembership of the ADFA is open to any producer of dried fruit in Australia. Members who deliver dried fruits to processors are required to authorise the deduction of the annual membership fee established by the ADFA's Federal Council each year. BranchesThe producer members of the ADFA are grouped into branches on the basis of the geographic
location of the property from which their dried fruit is produced. Current branches are: Processor & Marketer MembersThe ADFA constitution provides for dried fruit processors and dried fruit marketers to be members of ADFA. Federal Council is responsible for approving any processor or marketer as a member of the Association. Cost of MembershipThe annual membership fee to apply in any season is set by the preceding Federal Council. Management & AdministrationThe Board of Management is supported by a professional staff group including a General
Manager, Finance Officer, Industry Development Officer, Executive Assistant and Receptionist.
